Online or in person valuation? Both Available
Swift Values offers probate tractor and agricultural machinery valuations either way. Most tractors and implements are well-suited to our online service, but where a site visit is genuinely more cost-effective, we can help with that too.
Online Tractor Valuation – £49
The best option for most estates. A qualified valuer personally assesses the images and details you provide. Photograph the tractor, implement or agricultural vehicle using our guide, share any registration, model, hours or serial number, and receive a full HMRC-compliant valuation within 2–3 days.
In-Person Valuation – from £298
Useful where there are several tractors, implements, trailers or larger pieces of farm machinery to assess together. For most single tractors, online is usually more proportionate, but if a visit is likely to save time or cost across multiple items, we can arrange an on-site valuation.
Your tractor probate valuation in 3 easy steps
Swift Values provides a simple, best-value way to meet your vehicle probate valuation obligations. Here’s how it works:
Add photos and vehicle details
Add the make, model, hours, registration or serial number, plus clear photos of the tractor, implement or agricultural vehicle. No need to research the value yourself.
We assess the vehicle properly
Our experienced valuer reviews the machine’s condition, age, hours, specification, attachments, working use and current market prices, not just the make and model.
Receive your HMRC compliant report
Typically delivered within 2-3 working days and prepared under Section 160 IHTA 1984 – ready to submit with confidence.
What we can value
We provide specialist probate valuations for tractors, agricultural vehicles and farm machinery. Whether the estate includes a compact Kubota, a vintage Fordson, a modern John Deere, a loader tractor or several implements, our valuers can usually assess them for HMRC from clear photographs and supporting details.
ITEMS WE CAN VALUE FOR PROBATE
Modern Tractors
John Deere, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Case IH and other working tractors where age, hours, condition and specification affect value.
Compact & Smallholding Tractors
Kubota, Iseki, Yanmar and similar estate or smallholding tractors, including machines used for paddocks, gardens, yards and private land.
Vintage & Collectable Tractors
Fordson, Ferguson, International Harvester, David Brown and other older tractors where originality, restoration and collector demand may affect probate value.
Implements & Attachments
Loaders, toppers, mowers, trailers, ploughs, harrows, buckets, forks and other farm implements that may need separate values.
Agricultural Vehicles & Machinery
Utility vehicles, telehandlers, quad bikes, trailers and other farm machinery where condition, use and market demand need proper assessment.
How to photograph your tractor
A few clear photos are all we need to value your car accurately — no specialist kit, just a phone and good light.
We’ve kept it simple so anyone can do it well. Watch this video by our founder Mark Littler to see exactly how to photo your tractor or farm vehicles. While Mark talks about cars in the video the same applies for agricultural vehicles, with the caveat that we also need to know the hours for most agricultural vehicles.
