Postage Service FAQ
What’s the maximum insurance value per shipment?
Each consignment is insured up to £20,000 when using our DHL service and following our packing instructions. We can provide our insurance schedule upon request.
Do we need to provide packaging materials?
If you select one of our box options, we provide all necessary packaging materials. While you may pack items yourself and request a return label, please note that damage due to inadequate packaging isn’t covered by insurance. This is why we recommend using our specialist packaging.
Do you cover the entire UK?
Yes, we provide nationwide coverage. Whether you’re in central London or the Yorkshire Dales, we can arrange prompt collection.
What documentation is provided for our files?
Each parcel contains a contract listing all items being collected, specifying whether they’re for valuation or sale, and whether they need to be returned.
Can you collect from executors’ homes?
Yes, we can arrange collection directly from executors’ homes. Please specify this requirement when booking.
What items can’t you transport?
While our courier service is ideal for jewellery, watches and small valuables, we use specialist art handlers for fragile items like ceramics and paintings. These handlers provide full packaging and insurance coverage.
How should multiple items be packaged?
You’re responsible for ensuring items are packaged clearly and identifiably when we open the parcel.
What about returning items?
Returns are easily arranged – simply indicate this requirement on the contract when sending items.
How is payment processed?
We accept payment via bank transfer or through our secure online payment portal.
