Fast, Cost-Effective Online Valuations

Do you need a quick, cost-effective way to assess estate chattels? Our online valuation service makes it easy to start the probate process, wherever the estate is located. Just upload photographs and our experts will provide a clear, HMRC-compliant report, with a 100% acceptance rate to date.

We know that keeping estate costs down and managing expectations is key. That’s why we offer two straightforward options:

House Contents Assessment – £99+VAT
A full online valuation of an entire property’s contents, ideal for most estates.

Individual Item Assessment – £25+VAT
Expert valuations for specific items you want valued or that are mentioned in a will.

HMRC expects “reasonable care” when valuing estates and our online valuation is the easiest way to meet that standard.

Who Is It For?

Not every estate contains high-value items, but HMRC still expects executors to show reasonable care when valuing contents. Our online valuation is a fast, affordable way to meet that duty without overpaying for services you may not need.

It’s an ideal starting point for most estates, helping you identify when further investigation is needed, while avoiding unnecessary site visits.

In-Person Valuation – From £249+VAT

Who Is It For?

If the estate includes antiques, higher-value items, or you simply prefer to speak directly with a valuer, our in-person service is the best option.

An expert will visit the property, carry out a detailed room-by-room appraisal, and deliver a comprehensive HMRC-compliant report within around 7 days.

We offer both online and in-person probate valuations, each providing HMRC-compliant reports under Section 160 of the Inheritance Tax Act 1984. Our valuers will recommend further research or a site visit if any items appear particularly valuable, unusual, or require closer inspection.

Want to See What the Report Looks Like?

Every Swift Values report is carefully designed to meet HMRC standards — but not all reports are created equal. Ours are fully illustrated, include expert notes, and follow a structured format that HMRC understands and trusts.

Find out how our reports are structured, why they’ve had a 100% acceptance rate with HMRC, and how they help ensure a smooth grant of probate.
