Online Valuation – only  £49

Ideal for most touring caravans, including single and twin axle leisure caravans, older caravans, stored caravans and inherited caravans that have not been used for some time.

In most cases, we can value a caravan from clear photographs showing the make, model, year, layout, condition, CRiS details, service history, damp reports, motor mover, awning and any included accessories. You send us the images and details, and we provide an HMRC-compliant probate valuation, usually within 2–3 days.

Best for: 95%+ of estates

In-Person Valuation – from £298

A home visit is rarely needed for a single touring caravan. Photographs usually give us the information required to assess the make, model, age, layout, condition and probate value.

Where an estate includes several caravans, a storage yard, trade stock, commercial vehicles or a more complicated situation, we can advise on the most practical way to handle the valuation. If an in-person visit would not add value, we will tell you.

Best for: high-value or specialist estates

What we can value

We provide specialist probate valuations for touring caravans and related leisure caravan equipment. Whether the estate includes one older caravan, a nearly new twin axle model or a caravan with accessories, we can usually assess it from photographs and details.

Caravan Probate Valuations

ITEMS WE CAN VALUE FOR PROBATE

Touring Caravans

Single axle and twin axle caravans from makers such as Swift, Bailey, Elddis, Coachman, Lunar, Sprite, Compass, Adria and Buccaneer. We assess make, model, age, layout and condition.

Older & Stored Caravans

Caravans that have been unused, kept in storage or inherited as part of an estate. Damp, age, service history and general condition can all affect probate value.

High-Spec & Larger Caravans

Premium layouts, larger twin axle caravans and models with upgraded interiors, motor movers, awnings or added equipment. Extras can help value, but condition still matters.

Folding Campers & Trailer Tents

Folding campers, trailer tents and compact towable leisure units where the make, age, canvas condition, frame, fittings and accessories influence open market value.

Caravan Accessories

Awnings, motor movers, porch awnings, covers, towing equipment and included contents where they form part of the caravan’s resale value or need listing separately.

Why executors choose
Swift Values

A caravan can represent a significant asset in an estate.

A touring caravan may have cost the deceased a considerable amount to buy, store, service and equip. For probate, the question is not what it cost new, but what it was realistically worth on the open market at the date of death.

Age, make, model, layout, condition, damp, service history and extras such as a motor mover or awning can all affect the figure. A clear valuation helps executors avoid overstating the caravan and paying too much inheritance tax, while still giving HMRC a sensible, supportable figure.
